Thanksgiving

On Thursday, it was Thanksgiving in the United States. Mrs. Foote taught us about Thanksgiving. It is a holiday to celebrate the coming together for a harvest feast of the Pilgrims and the Native Americans hundreds of years ago.

We learned about the food that they eat, including turkey and pumpkin pie. We talked about what we were thankful for as well. Then, we made a pumpkin pie!

We used tinned pumpkin which none of us had ever seen. Mrs Foote got it from Countdown (in the International section) and the recipe is on the back.
Mrs Foote and Myah added pumpkin to the spices, sugar, and eggs.

We had to mix and mix and mix all the ingredients together.

We baked in the staff room oven....

... and ate it! Yum!

  1. Did you enjoy eating a piece of the Pumpkin Pie Paige? It looks like you did! It looks delicious! What about the rest of room 2? Did it taste different to how you thought it would?
