Grandparents Day
On Friday, we had Grandparents Day at Mahora. Many of our grandparents came to our school to visit.
We went to assembly with the whole school to watch the Kapa Haka and choir perform. We had to wait a while before going in, so we played a quick game of sleeping lions to help us wait!
The hall was FULL of grandparents! They must really love us to all come to our school!
After assembly, our grandparents came back to Room 2. We read a poem with them, made handprints, and showed them all the learning we do in Room 2.
Brayden's granddad and great-grandma taught him dominos. Mrs Foote reckoned she needed the Grandparents here full time!
Some of our Grandparents had to visit many classrooms. Kyla was so pleased to see her Grandma--she was the last visit of 4 classrooms! It is lovely to have a big whanau at Mahora.
Finally, it was lunch time. (Pizza day-- yum!). Some of our Nana's and Poppa's stayed for lunch. What a special treat!

Our assembly....
I'The last word on our assembly is that it will take place in Week 8!! We had to move out of our Week 7 slot because of Shop Day. Hopefully this is the last 'change' in our Change Assembly! Here's a taster of what we are preparing for your enjoyment....
