Hundertwasser Houses with Rei Hendry

Today we had the pleasure to work with Rei Hendry for Art.  We learnt how to use our magic finger to draw before we used our crayon.  We then learnt about mixing colours and created some fabulous art!

This is the art that inspired us. By F.  Hundertwasser.

We are great artists!

Room 1 and 2 were very lucky this week to have some cute, cuddly bunnies come and visit.  The children absolutely loved seeing and patting the bunnies.

Healthy - Treats

The question was -

What foods should we eat a lot of?

Room 2 joined with Room 1 to answer this question.  We are learning about which foods we should eat a lot of and which foods are treats.

We discussed, looked and sorted the foods into two groups.

Then working together in groups of three we cut out pictures of food and sorted the.

First Day in Pop Up Room 1 and 2

The children arrived to school this morning very excited about their new learning space.  Pop Up Room 1 and 2 is the new name for our classroom (Mr Pearse came up with our new name!).  The children had a fab day!

The children at literacy time.

We are learning to self manage our self, to engage in learning tasks, being responsible by completing a task and tidying up at the end and working together.

Well done tamariki!
